"The Marriage of Figaro" is one of WA Mozart's most famous and most loved operas. This comic opera (opera buffa) is based on the play "The Marriage of Figaro" by the French writer Pierre Beaumarchais, first staged in 1786. It is considered one of Mozart's greatest creative successes, because of its wonderful music, subtle humor, and interesting characters, it remains popular even today.
The action of the opera takes place in an 18th-century Spanish castle, where the beautiful Susanna and Figaro are preparing for their wedding. However, the preparation for them is not smooth - Susan is in love with Count Almaviva, so confusion and intrigues begin in the relationship between the heroes. The opera highlights themes of love, wisdom, and social relationships. The opera is famous for its wonderful arias, charming duets of the main characters, and ensembles necessary for the genre.
