The trip to Birštonas is intended for representatives of Kaunas community organizations - to share good experience, establish cooperation, strengthen existing relations with other community organizations of the city of Kaunas and Birštonas and Prienai, community art collectives.
During the excursion, the guide from Birštona, J. Aleksandravičius, will introduce you to the history of the medieval, royal and mineral water resort town of present-day Birštonas, and he will review the knowledge of a geographer near the Nemunas.
Sailing on the Nemunas and Verkne on the "Upinis" boat in the Nemunas loop regional park will reveal the history of the resort town of Birštonas and the natural landscape of this area in a different way. A creative photo workshop with the artist K. Aleškevičiūta will also take place on the ship.
A creative sketching workshop will be held at the Birštonas Art School with artist R. Janušaitis, head of the Adult Art Studio, and members of the studio.
Representatives of Birštonas and Prienė district community organizations, councils, local cultural institutions, community art collectives and local creatives are also invited to participate - to get to know each other and, by connecting the banks of the Nemunas, to strengthen community activities through joint creativity.
The trip to Birštonas is organized as part of the project "Strengthening the River Community", the project is financed by the Ministry of Social Security and Labor of the Republic of Lithuania.
