Stone with Historical Dates

In the center of the resort, near J. Basanavičius Square, three dates are carved on a huge monumental stone:
1382 - Birštonas is first mentioned in the Crusader chronicles,
1846 is a year of people treated with mineral water, so this year is considered to be the year the resort was founded,
1966 - Birštonas was granted the city rights of republican subordination.
