"We draw the Nemunas" festival

In midsummer itself, on July 22 (Friday), the organizers of the "Painting the Nemunas" festival invite you to settle down on the banks of the river, on the beaches or under the bridges and paint the Nemunas together. Nemunas plein airs are organized on the same day and will take place in various coastal locations, neighboring communities living on different banks will unite by the river for joint creation. Plein airs are open to everyone, non-painters, art lovers and professional artists can participate. Participants are invited to paint with acrylics, but are free to paint with their favorite art mediums, they can bring their own painting supplies, and those who register in advance will be provided with some supplies on site. Those who do not have drawing skills will be helped by the artists curating plein air. Joint outdoor exhibitions are planned in the autumn in community houses, libraries, and other cultural institutions.

Nemunas plein airs are the main part of the festival "Piešiame Nemuną". The project is partially financed by the Lithuanian Council of Culture.
