On the first weekend of December, Birštonas will shine with thousands of lights: the lighting of the Christmas tree, a festive concert, and an airmen's parade await

December 2 at 5 p.m. In Birštona, the Christmas tree will be lit, the streets of the city will be illuminated by a traditional parade of airmen, and visitors will be greeted by Santa Claus. The celebration will be crowned by DJ Jovani's concert.

This year, Birštonas returns to true Christmas traditions and decorates a natural Christmas tree. "The main decoration of the city will be a real, 12-meter-high, green-striped spruce. It was donated to the resort by Gražina, a resident of Birštonas, who planted it herself as a child. The city's main Christmas tree will not be lonely - it will be surrounded by forests of shining Christmas trees throughout the city, where you can also meet the inhabitants of the forest! Therefore, there will be no shortage of light, coziness and happy moments in the resort", says the mayor of Birštonas municipality, Nijolė Dirginčienė.

The Christmas tree lighting ceremony will begin with the Christmas caravan, which will consist of a column of airmen, the symbol of Birštonas resort. Santa Claus will also arrive in a Christmas caravan directly to the place of the celebration, J. Basanavičius Square. The airmen's parade through the streets of the resort will present an impressive spectacle unique to Biršton - a fire show.

The children's collective "Linksmasis Do", the children's fashion theater and dance studio "Demo" will create the Christmas mood during the holiday. During the show, there will be no shortage of cheerful, upbeat songs and theatrical performances. Later, the singer, songwriter Jūratė Miliauskaitė will perform her most popular songs, and the well-known TV and radio presenter, music producer DJ Jovani will crown the holiday and invite her to the festive month with the rhythm of the disco.

The spirit of Christmas will be bright throughout Birštona. It will also be possible to feel it in the Kneipp garden, where another forest of Christmas trees will shine, there will be ballerinas up to 2.5 meters high, illuminated arches and a music box. After turning the key of the magical box, you will be able to hear the most beautiful Christmas melodies, take a photo with your family and friends against the background of shining lights. December 2-3 holiday. on the weekend, the nearby historic Birštonas Kurhaus will also light up with lights.

Symbolically, the Christmas tree lighting ceremony will start the cycle of festive events and offers in the resort. In Biršton, there will be music, exhibitions and premieres of performances throughout December. On Christmas Eve, the concert "Untouched Music" will be organized by Merūnas, and on the second day of Christmas, music lovers will be treated to the acoustic concert "Stebuklo paliesti" by R. Difart and A. Difartė. The last evening of the year in Biršton will be crowned by Ieva Narkutė's concert "Your Only Woman". Also, the sanatoriums and spa centers of the resort invite you to welcome the New Year - 2024 - in an original way.
