Sanatorium "Versmė" starts providing rehabilitation after moderate or severe form of "Covid-19" disease

The rehabilitation program will provide procedures to restore physical and psychological health, treat the residual phenomena that occur in many patients and are caused by this insidious disease. The program is based on the recommendations of LSMU Kaunas clinics rehabilitation specialists. The recommended rehabilitation period is from 10 to 14 days.

"In a situation where the state does not reimburse the costs of medical rehabilitation for people with moderate or severe Covid-19 disease, we have decided how to contribute as much as possible to the further treatment of people with Covid-19. Persons who deal with the consequences of the disease who come to the sanatorium with this program will have to pay only for the necessary costs of rehabilitation costs. Our mission is to help clients recover from serious illnesses and provide healing procedures, not just waiting for the residual phenomena of this insidious disease to recede. Relentless customer calls and questions about whether it is possible to come to the sanatorium for rehabilitation after Covid-19 illness confirmed the need for the program, so we took action and, under strict requirements, we will help people restore their health. We have been preparing for this program for some time now, and we have acquired the necessary equipment and tools that are necessary to provide this type of service, ”says Rasa Noreikienė, Director of Birštonas Sanatorium Versmė.

Rehabilitation after moderate to severe Covid-19 is for people who have recovered from the disease, do not have a fever, do not take antipyretics and have a doctor's certificate of recovery. An assessment of the state of health will be performed for each client who arrives, and rehabilitation procedures will be selected according to the patient's current state of health, taking into account comorbidities. During the implementation of the program, clients will be tested for venous blood immunoglobulin IgG to determine the level of immunity developed and for antibodies.
