Biršton has already been awarded the sixth municipal award - "Golden Curve"

October 7 The municipal awards organized by the Association of Lithuanian Municipalities took place in Vilnius. The "Golden Curves" statuette has been presented to Birštonas municipality for the sixth time. This year, it was presented to the resort by the Lithuanian Business Confederation for its activity in representing the interests of resorts and businesses operating in them.

For the seventeenth time, the heads of all 14 ministries of the country, the representative office of the European Commission in Lithuania and the Confederation of Lithuanian Business presented awards to municipalities that excelled in specific fields at the awards ceremony organized by the Association of Lithuanian Municipalities (LSA).

The municipality of Birštonas won the bronze "Golden Curve" statue "For activity in representing the interests of resorts and businesses operating in them". This nomination was established by the Lithuanian Business Confederation after noticing and evaluating the synergy of business and self-government in Biršton, attracting investments and representing the interests of the resort.

"It is a great honor and pleasure for me to present this award to the municipality of Birštonas for the fact that it defends and represents business," said Andrius Romanovskis, president of the Lithuanian Business Confederation, while presenting the bronze statuette of "Golden Curve".

This is already the sixth self-government award for Birštonas municipality. 2005, 2017 and 2021 the resort "Golden Curve" received from the Ministry of the Environment of the Republic of Lithuania for positive changes in the field of ecology, in 2017. the award was given by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania for heat transformation, and in 2018 The Association of Lithuanian Municipalities presented the "Knight of the Golden Curve" sign for merit to Mayor Nijole Dirginčienė.

Birštonas municipality's "Golden Curves" awards chronology:
- in 2005 The "Golden Curve" was awarded to Biršton by the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania for the "Cleanest City of Lithuania", and the then mayor of Biršton, Antanas Serafinas Zenkevičius, received the badge of "Knight of the Golden Curve".
- in 2015 The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania awarded the "Golden Curves" award to the municipality of Birštonas "For correct changes in the heating industry".

- 2018 The mayor of Birštonas municipality, Nijolė Dirginčienė, was awarded the highest award of the Lithuanian self-government - the "Knight of the Golden Curve" sign.
