At the exhibition, we invite you to familiarize yourself with the works of the finalists of this year's "Lietuvos spaudos fotografia 2023" competition.
The shots presented in the exhibition convey the everyday life of the past year and the most important geopolitical events from various angles.
The members of the competition commission are professional photographers Mikkel Hørlyck (Denmark), Sergejus Michailenko (Belarus), musician, producer and actor Andrius Mamontovas, journalist, presenter Edmundas Jakilaitis, journalist, doctor of social sciences Audronė Nugaraitė and president of the Lithuanian Art Creators Association Jonas Staselis with a special carefully selected 80 individual photos and 5 photo reports and photo stories out of almost 3,000 frames submitted for the competition. This year the competition consists of 8 categories: "News", "Life" (sponsored by Vilnius City Municipality), "Culture and entertainment", "Sports" (sponsored by Foto123.lt), "Military" (sponsored by the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Lithuania), "Nature" and its protection", "Portrait" and "Reportage and photo story". Traditionally, the jury of the competition chooses a winner in each category, and the participants of the competition choose the winner of the prestigious "College Prize" from all the selected photos.
