After a four-year hiatus, one of the best Lithuanian tenors, Merūnas Vitulskis, is going on a concert tour of Lithuania together with the VDU string quartet. "I hope to add festiveness to the winter holidays," he says.
He called the long-awaited performances "Open Heart". It was these words that best described the current state of the singer.
"In recent years, I have experienced quite an internal cultural crisis. I had a lot of time to think. There were moments when doubts arose: do I still have something to say to the listeners?" Merūnas admitted.
He does not hide that he has gone through quite significant internal changes. He realized that he no longer wanted to be distracted, throwing himself into different areas.
"I want to concentrate on music. I want to be the author of my own songs," he says decisively.
The awakened creative urge did not pass without results - for the first time in his entire career, Merūnas will also present his own songs at the "Atvira širdim" concerts.
The singer is excitedly waiting to see how his new original works will be appreciated by the listeners. In addition to the premiere of his own songs, the most beautiful and popular works from the highly successful album "Muzika Lietuvai" and from other periods of his career and released albums will be played at the "Atvira širdim" concerts.
"In these difficult times, people need to convey joy and hope from the stage. I want us all to have a great time, to relax," he promises an optimistic program.
"Open heart" will not be complete without warm conversations. Merūnas realized a long time ago that no classical genre limits him in solo concerts. Therefore, the fans already know - a great evening awaits with many pleasant spontaneous moments, Merūnas jokes, open confessions and extremely beautiful songs, which were like paintings made by Merūnas's powerful voice with a unique timbre.
