Hike in Birštonas FOREST TRAIL SIPONYS - BIRŠTONAS
Date and time: April 30th. from 10:00
Start and end of the start: Birštonas Tourism Information Center, address B. Sruogos str. 4, Birštonas (participants gather at Birštonas Tourist Information Center, we take a bus to Siponiai village, where the hike starts).
Length and duration of the route: 20 km in about 6.5 hours.
The route of this hike is based on the 59th section of the LONG FOREST long-distance walking route. Repeating the loops of the Nemunas, the FOREST TRAIL forms a 20 km long bend in the Nemunas Loops Regional Park, meandering through the most beautiful corners of nature and small villages with wooden buildings painted in different colors typical of these places. A forest massif passes between the villages of Siponiai and Puzoniai, through which the route leads through small forest roads. After crossing the Vilnius-Marijampolė road (A16), MIŠKO TAKAS reaches another bend of the Nemunas, where the balneological resort of Birštonas is located - on B. Sruogos Street, the MIŠKO TAKO route leads to the Birštonas Tourism Information Center.
