For the 5th year in a row, we are happy to be able to contribute to the celebration of the Day of the Restoration of the State of Lithuania - February 16 in Biršton! On this occasion, the Birštonas Youth Club together with the Birštonas Open Youth Space invites all Birštonians and city guests to participate in the annual walking tour "Zvērinčius takais" and celebrate FREEDOM by walking together!
As every year, we will all hike together all the way to the Žvērinčias oak tree, breathe in the wonderful air of the Birštonas resort and share a good mood, and for everyone who wants to take a longer walk and see more of our municipality's unique natural objects, we will prepare additional maps with an extended hiking route! Medals, warm tea and various delicacies will be waiting for all the participants of the hike who reached the oak tree, made by our native ceramicist Vidos Radzevičius!
THE EVENT PROGRAM:
After the solemn flag raising ceremony
around 12:00 - Participant registration at J. Basanavičius Square, Birštona.
12:30 Start of the hike from J. Basanavičius Square. We will all march along the embankment towards the Žvērinčius oak tree. The hiking route (back and forth) is about 10 km.
Around 15:00 Finish and awards (it will depend on the pace of the participants).
