As every year, we want to invite everyone to the already traditional February 16 commemoration hike - "Zvėrinčius takais". We are happy to contribute to the celebration of the Day of the Restoration of the State of Lithuania in Biršton and to celebrate FREEDOM by marching together with community members and guests of the city!
We will all walk together along the Birštonas embankment all the way to the Žvērinčius oak tree, breathe in the wonderful air of the resort, admire the beauty of our nature, and when we reach the finish line, handmade medals by local potter Vidas Radzevičius, warm tea and various delicacies will be waiting for you!
For all those who want to take a longer walk and see more of our municipality's unique natural objects, we have prepared additional maps with an extended hiking route!
THE EVENT PROGRAM:
13:15-13:30 Registration of participants in J. Basanavičius Square, Birštona.
13:30 After the solemn flag-raising ceremony, we will all march along the embankment towards the Žvērinčius oak tree. The hiking route (back and forth) is about 10 km.
Around 15:00 Finish and awards (depending on the participants' pace and weather conditions).
