They live in a beautiful house that they built together many years ago. Their lives are filled with memories that August is slowly forgetting because of Alzheimer's. His memory slowly fades until he doesn't even recognize himself in the mirror anymore. However, although Augustus is alone in his mind, Paulina is always there. The more he forgets, the more she loves him. And although Paulina herself is forgotten, her feelings for her beloved remain strong.
