FIFTH ANNIVERSARY OF BIRŠTONAS TOURISM INFORMATION CENTRE

FIFTH ANNIVERSARY OF BIRŠTONAS TOURISM INFORMATION CENTRE

On 4 April, the Birštonas Tourism Information Centre celebrated its fifth anniversary. The celebrating employees were congratulated by the children’s pop choir from Prienai Nemunas Primary School who performed songs and cheerful melodies. Animators for the children decorated their faces with joyful drawings - small whales.

Those gathered learned to blow giant soap bubbles, which, high in the air, had to tell the entire world what event was being celebrated in Birštonas.

Small participants in the celebration took part in the christening of a new resident (employee) at the Tourism Information Centre. After prolonged voting, the decision was reached to give the chinchilla the name Timis.

True friends and parents remember the birthday uninvited. They extend warm greetings by smiles, words and pleasantries. Birštonas Tourism Information Centre is pleased to have so many friends: children from the kindergarten-school who presented a candy tree - every child’s dream; the Association of Resorts which decided to present the dog Šerifas; the Birštonas police who gave picnic packs with sweet surprises as a gift; aeronauts who brought by air late in the evening an armful of flowers nurtured by the Little Prince; a mysterious paparazzi journalist who caught on camera all the employees near a lucky filly; the female journalists who presented a budding tree of life and cookies of strength; colleagues in the regional park; godfather Egidijus; several representatives of culture with artistic spirit; colleagues in amber Palanga; in sunny Barcelona; at the resort which is proud of its salts, and its sanatoria; in Kėdainiai, the town of the Radvila family; at Tourism Academy; at the translation company; at the printing-house; at the radio of the capital of Dzūkija; on the portal of New Communications; among those promoting odysseys around Lithuania; at the Training Centre of the State Social Insurance Fund Board. We express sincere gratitude to you for being with us for better or worse.

The employees of Birštonas Tourism Information Centre who became pleasantly tired from the greetings and joyful moments sat down at the table decorated with an impressive cake and real lemonade.
