The government today approved the 2022-2030 report prepared by the Ministry of Economy and Innovation. the National Economic Transformation and Competitiveness Development Program, which sets out the main directions for increasing the resilience of the economy and promoting long-term growth.

"Reorienting towards the creation of high added value and innovative industry, promoting exports, attracting new investments, working to increase the supply of talent, encouraging companies to grow and expand - these are our most important directions. In addition, we will focus on a climate-neutral and circular economy, as these are models for the future that will address, among other things, dependence on imported raw materials. In order to make a breakthrough in all these areas, state incentives are necessary, ”says the Minister of Economy and Innovation Aušrinė Armonaitė.

The program will implement the 7 objectives of the National Progress Plan, which focuses on industrial transformation in order to achieve a climate-neutral economy, create and implement innovations, as well as promote dissemination, attract foreign and local direct investment, promote entrepreneurship and business growth and export goods and services. increasing the competitiveness of tourism and meeting the human resources needs of high and medium value-added economic sectors.

1.7 billion is planned for the implementation of the program. from the European Economic Recovery and Resilience Fund (RRF), the European Union Structural Funds, the state budget and private funds.

The largest amount of funds is 1.17 billion. for the development, deployment and diffusion of advanced technologies and innovation. Through various support measures, businesses will be encouraged to adopt digital technologies, invest in research and development (R&D), develop the competencies needed for a smart economy, and so on.
