These positions were transferred to her by the Mayor of Druskininkai Municipality Ričardas Malinauskas, who has been the head of the association for the last two years. Valerijus Makūnas, Mayor of Kaunas District Municipality, became the Vice President of the Association.

The mayor of Druskininkai municipality, Ričardas Malinauskas, who has completed the term of the president of the association, was pleased with the work done during the last period for the benefit of the association and all resorts and resort areas, one of the most important being the preparation of the legal resort base. A draft law on the sustainable development of resorts and resort areas of the Republic of Lithuania has been prepared, the idea of which has been maturing almost since the restoration of Lithuania's independence.

The preparation of a unified document regulating the activities of resorts and resort areas and its harmonization with the existing legal framework is a particularly significant step in resolving the issue of the future of Lithuanian resorts and resort areas.

The association unites Lithuanian resorts and resort territories: Birštonas, Druskininkai, Neringa, Palanga, Anykščiai district, Ignalina district, Kaunas district, Trakai district. and Zarasai district. municipalities.
