More than 50 restaurants invite you to taste trips during the Gastronomy Week

In total, more than 50 restaurants are participating in the XII Gastronomy Week, located not only in the major cities of the country - Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, but also in Anykščiai, Birštona, Jonišky, Šakiai, Palanga, Panevėžys district. The menu prepared by the participants of the week will invite restaurant visitors to travel to various countries in Europe, Asia, North and South America and Africa, to travel back in time to the gastronomic past of Lithuania and to get to know individual regions of the country better.

"Acquainting Lithuanian residents and guests with different cuisines has been one of its main goals since the first Gastronomy Week. This week's theme - flavors - gave the participants an even greater impetus to think more carefully and look for ways to reveal the flavors of the selected world cuisine and how the restaurant menu can become a means for guests to get to know not only a specific country or a separate region of Lithuania, but also to transport them in time to different historical stages" , - says Jūratė Mikalkėnienė, executive director of the Association of Lithuanian Head Chefs and Pastry Chefs.
