"Free excursions for Ukrainian refugees" weekend in Lithuania

2022/03/22 Culture

Lithuanian Tourism Information Centers unite for a common goal - to announce a "Free Excursions for Ukrainian Refugees" weekend in Lithuania.

Excursions will take place on March 26 in Vilnius, Klaipėda, Šiauliai, Birštonas, Alytus, and Kaunas will offer free excursions on March 27.

"Our goal is to introduce the people of Ukraine to the cities where they now live. Many are already asking about the country's history, places of interest, and cultural, historical and gastronomic heritage. This is a joint project of Lithuanian guides and tourism centers. And certainly not the last, ”says Romena Savickienė, Director of Klaipėda Tourism and Culture Information Center.
"We have hearts and thoughts with the struggling people of Ukraine, and the best we can do now is take care of their relatives who have already arrived in Lithuania. Help them integrate in our country, find friends and like-minded people. Therefore, we invite them to inspire the soul of peace, at least for a short time, ”says Rūta Kapačinskaitė, the head of the Birštonas Tourism Information Center.

Ukrainians living in various parts of Lithuania are invited to take part in the excursions.
