Birštonas was awarded the Council of Europe Award for impeccable management

One of the components of the project is the evaluation of the implementation of the 12 Council of Europe Principles of Good Governance in Lithuanian municipalities. According to the methodology approved by the Council of Europe, municipalities were assessed by residents, politicians, employees, as well as municipalities had to self-assess and provide relevant evidence themselves. As many as 35 municipalities participated in the project, but only 14 municipalities were selected (assessed) and met the requirements.
We would like to inform you that Birštonas municipality is one of the 14 Lithuanian municipalities that collected the set number of points and on November 30. was awarded the Council of Europe Label for Good Management at a remote awards ceremony. This award demonstrates the desire of the people and leaders of Birštonas municipality to work together in a modern, innovative, close-knit community.
This is the fourth award presented to Birštonas Municipality by the Council of Europe. - "Badge of Honor", 2016 - Flag of Honor, 2015 - "Diploma of Honor".
