VIII Birštonas Summer Arts Academy 2022. Secrets and subtleties of the art of interpretation in the 21st century. in performing arts and pedagogy.

The first recital on Sunday (August 14) will be performed by pianist Alexander Paleyˊus, who is famous for his unique charisma, fiery temperament, and exceptional technique.

On Monday (August 15), violinist Raimondas Butvila and Ugnius Dičiūnas, who play the oboe and English horn, will perform French music together with the pianist.

On Tuesday (August 16), pianist Švieše Čepliauskaitė will invite you to dive into the waltz space. An active pianist, she participates in international festivals abroad and in Lithuania. The pianist has prepared chamber music and musical literary programs with Lithuanian and foreign performers.

On August 17 (on Wednesday) soloist Raminta Vaicekauskaitė, laureate of international competitions, awarded with the "Fortūnas" prize and the "Golden Cross of the Stage" and the talented pianist Evelina Pilipavičiūtė prepared an intriguing program of vocal music that will invite you to immerse yourself in the dusk of the evening, experience the secrets of the night and the hope of the dawning morning.

Birštonas Summer Academy of Arts already has a beautiful family of performers who has cultivated professional excellence here. I am happy that a significant number of them have become the most active members of the Lithuanian Musicians' Union, others are still learning and continue their beautiful fellowship by participating in LMS events. It is also gratifying that since 2013, as a result of communicating with the Birštonas School of Art, a nice group of young friends has grown in it. It is especially fun to observe the progress of young musicians, and their growth not only in height but also in their understanding of music performance.

On August 18 (Thursday) the closing concert of the VIII BVMA will be decorated and the summer mood will be created by the young LMS member singer Charlotte Kilsch and pianist Roberta Daugėlaitė, who participated in the master courses of the past years and both won Birštonas mayor Nijolė Dirginčienė's awards in the folk song competitions held here in different years. Charlotte will be assisted this time by guitarist Milda Orvydaitė.
The students of the Birštonas Art School, whom we have been following since the first BVMA, will also perform together. They are Agnė Baliūnaitė, Adrija Suchockaitė, Elzė Bisikirskaitė, and they will be joined by Rojus Bukauskas and Naglis Norkevičius, students of Kaunas Juoz Naujalis Arts Gymnasium.

We hope that this year's BVMA events, which are held in different cities, will bring a lot of joy to the participants and the listeners of our concerts.
