Animated family film Unbridled Spirit is the latest story from DreamWorks Animation about a stubborn girl and her amazing friendship with a wild horse.
Laki Preston didn't get to know her late mother, Milagro "Fortuna" Navarro, a fearless horse stuntwoman from the small town of Miradero on the edge of the wide open prairies.
Like her mother, Laki is not a fan of rules and restrictions, which causes her aunt Cora, who looks after her, considerable anxiety. The girl grew up in a bustling town on the east coast of the United States under the watchful eye of Aunt Cora. However, due to Laki's constant risqué murderous antics, she and her aunt are forced to move in with her dad, Jim, who lives in the town of Miradero.
Laki is clearly not happy with this decision. But unexpectedly, in this sleepy town, she meets Ghost, a wild mustang, and befriends two cool girls who know how to ride their horses perfectly.
When a heartless horse tamer decides to capture Ghost and auction him off, Laki and her friends decide to rescue and restore Ghost back to his family. Because this wonderful and free mustang gave freedom to Lake herself, and helped her find a connection with her family.
This is a wonderful story about friendship and the freedom to be yourself, and the courage to follow your dreams and enjoy life. A little girl's friendship with a wild horse became a wonderful story about returning to one's true roots, and to one's family.
