Fantastic documentary
…People will destroy each other.
People will destroy nature and the world... They will ban God... They will ban the Devil... Everyone will forget all secrets... Everyone will be ruled by money... People will become obedient robots. They will reproduce themselves and create robots... The global network will change the brain... Consumption will change thinking... HAS THIS ALREADY HAPPENED OR WILL IT BE?
…Noah will rise and build the ark again… The water will disappear… More planets will appear in the solar system after the explosions… Humans will rise to Earth's replacement Terra Soror… Time will no longer be an obstacle… Einstein will be cloned… Kinetic apples will fall on the heads of the clones… THIS WILL BE?
And someday someone might say again: IT HAS ALREADY HAPPENED.
The creators of the show address a young person and try to understand what shapes his values, relationships with peers and parents. Is today's young person ready to face reality or tend to run away from it?
The main character, a young girl, goes through troubles and raises the existential questions that arise for every maturing person. What is personal and national freedom, Homeland, patriotism? Why is it important to understand the past? How can it help you live?
The girl travels to the past and identifies with a peer teenager who was exiled to Siberia with her mother in the 1950s. There are many things that separate them, but probably also connect them. Traveling through the labyrinths of memory, dreams, fantasies and actual history, the girl faces real pain, experiences losses, but also finds herself in curious and smile-inducing situations. The journey matures her and raises new questions.
Are the experiences of exile just a few pages in a history textbook that we write on the school bench and languidly remember during public holidays? And can we be sure that our freedom is guaranteed to us?..
The performance uses video material from the collections of the Lithuanian National Museum and LGGRTC Museum of Occupations and Freedom Struggles.
