“For me, tango has always been for the ears, not the feet,” said the Argentine composer Astor Piazzolla, who hardly expected that his music would become so popular that even many years after the creator’s death, tango can be heard everywhere – from concert halls to television commercials or films. A traditional dance with elements of classical music, jazz or even rock, everything is colored with indescribable longing, nostalgia and passion. This is not just dance music. Á. Piazzolla’s works are designed to be listened to and immersed in the emotionally charged history of tango together. Fresh, melodramatic, yet passionately nostalgic compositions will invite you to listen and spend the last moments of the year together. In the authentic space of the Birštonas Kurhaus, the ensemble “Vilniaus Arsenalas” will perform a series of tangos by the Argentine composer, which will create an extraordinary atmosphere of the evening.
