On November 7 (Friday) at 5:00 p.m., a meeting with the author of popular psychological books, psychologist, psychotherapist, educator, and dance practice instructor Lina Vėželiene Dirmote will take place at the Birštonas Public Library, with a presentation of her book "Life Without Stress", and a practical session "Stress Reduction Recipes".

The author promises to share practical "recipes for stress reduction": "I will talk about the impact of reading psychological books on a person's daily life, how and when to use the stress reduction exercises and activities offered in such a lecture, how and when to find time to develop a self-regulation mechanism, learn to manage your emotions and how to cope with stress-causing problems. I will also draw attention to how a psychological book can calm the mind and body, help you regain strength, change your attitude, increase stress resistance and live the life you want."

“Life Without Stress” is one of several psychological books by L. Vėželienė Dirmotė. The author also wrote “The Seven Deadly Sins in a Psychologist’s Office”, “Fish in a Tree”, “Middle Adolescence, or What to Do After 50”, “Letters Over Coffee. A Psychotherapist’s Perspective on 30 Life Situations”, etc. She also conducts seminars and lectures on psychological and spiritual intelligence topics, and provides individual consultations.

This event, intended to expand and continue bibliotherapy activities at the Birštonas Public Library, is organized as part of the project "Books Can Speak and Heal", which is funded by the Birštonas Municipality. Continuing the project:
- On November 19, we will invite readers to a meeting with psychotherapist Timus Petraitis, author of the books "Tikras Timas. Psichologas be paspalčių", "Pinigų laiškai", for a discussion about the benefits of bibliotherapy in overcoming depression.
- On November 28, TV presenter, journalist, book reviewer and author Lavija Šurnaitė-Kairienė will be a guest at the library. We will talk about her book "Adult Women's Club. Pluses, minuses and other mathematics of aging", we will look for answers to the question "how to age comfortably?", we will share the benefits of reading, its impact on our thinking and lifestyle.
