Forty-year-old Maja (Jennifer Lopez) works at a retail store for minimum wage and thinks every day about the choices that have led her to this dead end in life. Maja knows that she is talented and worth much more, but her CV is merciless - a woman without proper education, acquaintances and career records is doomed to continue spinning in the same circle of unpromising jobs. Until one day, finally influenced by Maya's nagging, one of her friends gives the woman's online persona a little boost. He edits his Facebook profile, creates fake photos (for example, of Maya with the president), adds fictitious jobs to his CV. You don't have to wait long for the result. Maja is invited for a job interview at a prestigious financial company located in a chic Manhattan office. Impressed by Maya's work and career (of course, fictional), the company's managers hire a woman as a business consultant. Her job is to ensure that the company's negotiations with a large Chinese investor end in success. Some of Maya's friends and relatives think that this joke has gone too far and that the woman should carry the soap until she has earned her due. However, Maja herself is confident that she can justify the trust shown to her. Because sometimes, to finally catch your lucky bird, you just need someone to believe in you. And would give a second chance in life.
