We kindly invite you to the presentation of the book "Suspected ARROR" by theater scholar Elvyra Markevičiūtė and a meeting with the author and director Gytis Padegimas at the Birštonas Public Library on June 19 (Thursday) at 6:30 p.m.
G. Padegimas is a colorful, charismatic, original personality, it is impossible to describe him in a few words in any context, not only in the theater. The director's activities and achievements are compiled in the book from reviews, based on the impressions and memories of the actors, the assessments of foreign theater experts, and the insights of the creator himself.
50 years of creative activity, without a doubt, had a fundamental influence on the development of the theater, the director's unique style outlined new guidelines. Fiery, burning, passionate creativity moved the canons, but always protected and protects the flaming altar of the theater.
In the book, author E. Markevičiūtė sought to outline the diverse personality and work of director G. Padegimas, to convey his uniqueness in the general context of theater - not only his directing of performances in various Lithuanian and foreign theaters, but also his organizational, social, pedagogical, and playwright experience.
Chronologically arranged texts highlight the periods, performances, and professed priorities of the inimitable director Gytis Padegimas.
