about

May 16 (Tuesday) at 6:30 p.m. we invite you to familiarize yourself with metaphorical associative cards (MAK), which help you get to know yourself and others better.

The evening will be hosted by Neringa Lašienė, philologist, founder of "Pašnekesių ateljė", member of Lithuanian bibliotherapy and Eastern European existential therapy associations, certified MAK and bibliotherapy consultant.

Metaphorical associative cards (MAK) are small-format pictures that can depict people, various objects, real and fantastic animals or landscapes, or simply abstractions. These cards are sometimes called therapy, projection, psychological cards.

Metaphorical, associative, psychological... The first letters of these words form the word MAP. The word MAP means "map" in English. Pictures created together by psychologists and artists are like parts of a map of the inner space of a person, a bridge to the treasures of fantasy and creativity, self-(re)cognition hidden in the subconscious. Metaphor is like a key that unlocks a magical door to self-knowledge.
