XIX a. Paris. Promising engineer Gustav Eiffel (actor Romain Duris) dreams of creating a subway, an underground invention called the road of the future. All the man's plans are turned upside down by an unexpected meeting with Adriana (actress Emma Mackey), a woman from the past. Memories of the intoxicating romance between the two inspire him to create an architectural masterpiece - the Eiffel Tower, which will eventually become a monument of love and a symbol of the city of Paris.
