For the eighteenth time, the exhibition of the national press “Lithuanian Press Photography” held in Lithuania on June 6–30 will be on display at Birštonas Cultural Center. Photojournalism has to reveal the event, it is one of its tasks, but it must also ask questions. Sometimes it may look like classic photography, but it must have instant energy and dynamism, colors, movement, emotions. Press photography must interest and show an attitude to what is happening in our world, reveal life problems and events, convey them in subtle and multilayered images. Today, the role of a professional photojournalist is more important than ever - it has to go through the events of everyday life, capturing what the human eye does not see or notice.
One of the main goals of the Lithuanian Press Photographers Club is to encourage the country's photojournalists to visually inform about significant events and life in our country and the world. At the same time, the club reveals new talents in the field of photography, which take over the strong traditions of the humanistic and reporting documentary school of Lithuania.
We invite all of you to contribute to the creation and development of a unique Lithuanian history of visual history for future generations!
