The Healthier Rhythm Program is a month-long program designed to dispel myths about healthy eating, exercise, and inspire a healthier lifestyle.
The program welcomes all adult residents of Birštonas, both those who want to improve their well-being, gain knowledge and more motivation, and those who already have chronic diseases or overweight problems. The classes are led by specialists with many years of work experience: a nutritionist, a physiotherapist, a specialist in the development of a healthy lifestyle, and a psychologist who will convey their knowledge in a structured and comprehensive manner.
During the sessions on healthy eating topics, the principles of a wholesome and balanced diet will be introduced, participants will be taught how to choose quality and healthier foods and not lose a lot of goods, and will learn to plan their own menus.
Much attention will be paid to recognizing and eliminating emotional eating problems. During the last nutrition session, participants will learn the subtleties of healthy cooking - the aim of this session is to dispel another myth that healthy food is tasteless or very complicated. Typically, participants connect with family members and produce together. During the physiotherapist sessions, residents will be introduced to the effects of physical activity on health, mood, immunity, and even stress levels. Participants will be encouraged to develop a plan to increase physical activity and set motivating goals. If necessary, each participant will be consulted in person.
The one-month program ends with a psychologist who teaches stress management, relaxation, and relaxation techniques.
