The 2025 EUROPARC conference will take place from 7 to 10 October in the heart of Lithuania, in the beautiful Nemunas Loops Regional Park, an area renowned for its rich biodiversity and cultural heritage. This year's event will be held in Birštonas, an internationally renowned spa town renowned for its wellness traditions, mineral springs and beautiful natural landscapes.
The main theme of the conference – “Nature for People, People for Nature” – will highlight the deep connection between people and nature and our shared responsibility to protect ecosystems for the benefit of present and future generations.
This year's meeting will also be dedicated to important anniversaries, such as the 50th anniversary of the Ramsar Convention, and to addressing urgent challenges such as ecosystem restoration, which is a key objective of the EU's nature restoration legislation.
The 2025 EUROPARC conference will not only be a forum for the exchange of ideas, but also a powerful reminder of the need to restore and protect nature – not only for its intrinsic value, but also for the well-being of people and the planet.
