about

Color - stain - light - contrast - composition... This is roughly the order in which a picture is born. Creative themes and plots develop by themselves, about everything that surrounds me or lives in me.

Nature, people, experiences, emotions, flying thoughts, ideas. In the pictures, I depict what is important to me, what excites and cares, what hurts, what causes anxiety. Feelings - as if through a veil of fog, barely perceptible, involve the viewer, invite them to experience and live together. From details and fragments, a unique story is created ("Isplakiantys smyklimii"), from flashed memories, quotes, the beginnings, I try to recreate stories about special people ("Pranciška Ščiukaitė Butlerienė", "J. Basanavičius takais") or I relive old stories in my own way, so that I don't have to cry about fallen angels ("Baltaragi's Mill"). Sometimes I immerse myself again in a landscape full of emotion, romance, feeling, joy and fragile moments that leave like a ship, shine with a white sail in the sunlight and disappear again unnecessarily. The landscape I create is somewhat humanized. While painting, I try to feel what the unexpected light shining from the sky tells me ("Evening calm always sings"), to hear how someone cheers after seeing his image in a puddle ("Atmosphere"), or maybe it's a bird flapping our souls... Then again, the emotion fades from the romantic landscape, I move on to more conceptual themes. Will the future befall us if we lose the past (The Kite Gone)…
