about
In modern society, one of the most painful social problems is human trafficking, the victims of which are often children and young people. Pre-trial investigations into human trafficking and forced labor exploitation are registered in Lithuania every year.
October 18th is the European Union Anti-Trafficking Day. The aim of this day is to spread awareness about the dangers of human trafficking and to encourage society to find solutions and prevention methods for this serious social problem. Human trafficking is a growing problem worldwide, affecting more and more people.
In order to prevent and protect as many people as possible by spreading the word about this in various ways, the Birštonas Police Commissariat of the Alytus County Chief Police Commissariat, Birštonas Municipality, Birštonas Cultural Center, in cooperation with the Kaunas Kazys Binkys Theater, are organizing a screening of the documentary/prevention play "Snares" created by the K. Binkys Theater.
We invite you to come to the performance, hear, see and feel how the actors speak through the lips of the victims of human trafficking themselves. What the victims of trafficking who are taken away, stolen, prostituted or otherwise exploited really experience. How they fell into the trap and what they would shout out if they escaped so that others would not have to experience it.
