The cost of the event
Awarded Best Director at the prestigious Sundance (USA) Film Festival, the documentary reveals the daily lives of a family living on the front line in Donbass, Ukraine. While the outside world is being bombarded by the sounds and chaos of the bombs, single mother Anna and her four children are able to keep their homes in a war zone - quiet as paradise, full of life and light. A passion for cinema that overwhelms all members of the family inspires them to film, edit and present a film inspired by their own lives during the war. The creative process reveals the power and magic of art in the face of disaster. For Anna and children, transforming trauma into creativity is the only way to stay human.
The film, which has won many international awards, was produced by the famous Lithuanian film director Giedrė Žickytė ("Jump") and the studio "Moonmakers" founded by her. A large Lithuanian team worked on the film.
