On July 15-18, Birštonas will host the fifth anniversary children's choir camp "Junior Choir Camp", which will bring together one and a half hundred talented choristers from all over Lithuania. The camp organizers invite everyone who will spend Friday at the resort to a free concert, the centerpiece of which will be children's choral music stars from Finland and the Netherlands.
The camp “Junior Choir Camp” is organized according to the popular model of the European Choir Association festivals: children from different cities spend several days intensively preparing a program of new works, which they perform for the audience at the final concert open to the audience. The best specialists in children's choral music usually work with the choristers, who bring new music and interesting learning methods to Lithuania. This year's camp is no exception: Anna Nora, the head of the Finnish Children and Youth Choir Association, the conductor of the Finnish National Opera children's choir, and Rohan Poldervaart, a vocal leadership, choir conducting and gospel music teacher at Dutch conservatories and universities, are coming to Lithuania. Together with one and a half hundred children from all over Lithuania, professionals will prepare a program that guests of Birštonas will be able to hear for free on July 18. 7 p.m. at the Birštonas Cultural Center.
The Junior Choir Camp is organized by the Public Institution “Unisonas” and the Lithuanian National Cultural Centre, and the camp partners are the National MK Čiurlionis School of Arts and the Birštonas Cultural Centre.
