It is a musical project performed by two violinists - Ieva and Dainius Puodžiukas. The idea behind this project was to choose baroque, classicism, and the twentieth century. composers' works and reveal how long traditions of classical music intertwine with the twentieth century. composers' musical, artistic worldview, and aesthetic attitudes. As established traditions take on a new form with the irony, sarcasm spice, as folklore is raised in instrumental music.
Together with stage partner, violinist, Dainium Puodžiuk, we started playing together a few years ago. 2016 We presented our first concert program Duo Concertante to the Lithuanian public. Both violinists are graduates of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater. After studying in Lithuania, Dainius studied at Boston University for 7 years and at Longy School. We are both performers of the Grammy award-winning international chamber orchestra Kremerata Baltica. Having accumulated a lot of chamber music experience, we are planning to implement our idea and present the audience with rare opuses in Lithuania for two violins. For 2019, we have received a scholarship from the Lithuanian Cultural Council for program preparation and execution.
