From November 7th in cinemas – “The Snow Queen: A Northern Tale” – a magical, magical and winter animation for the whole family. Inspired by the fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen, created by the animation creators who worked on the legendary “Toy Story” and other “Pixar Animation” projects, it promises an extraordinary journey to an enchanting world where courage, friendship and love overcome even the strongest spells.
One cold winter day, Gerda's best friend Kai mysteriously disappears. The little girl's heart is full of hope - she needs to hurry up and then she will definitely be able to find him! After saying goodbye to her kitten, writing a letter to her mother and grandmother, she embarks on an incredibly dangerous journey through snowy mountains, icy rivers and mysterious forests to the complete unknown towards the far north... Every step further leads to a colder and more dangerous world, mysterious forces are constantly trying to stop the little traveler, but she is determined not to give up.
On her dangerous journey, the brave girl is accompanied by a tiny, invisible, but very mischievous angel, Lily, who not only protects Gerda, but also constantly involves the brave traveler in adventures full of miracles. On her journey, Gerda meets incredibly wonderful helpers - a friendly, but very cunning witch, a servant goose, Hank, a talking owl, a wise boy, Sampo, and his reindeer, and a beautiful horse, Gustav, who help the girl not to give up, even when the hope of finding Kai fades!
Little does anyone suspect that the evil Snow Queen and her cunning apprentice Louis are behind all the troubles brave Gerda faces. They keep Kay in their sparkling ice palace and try to freeze the boy's heart so that the queen can stay young forever!
A beautiful and familiar fairy tale is reborn against the backdrop of the impressive Northern landscapes. The touching story and inspiring courage in rescuing their best friend Kaya will surely not leave anyone indifferent. Will the children manage to escape the icy trap of the Snow Queen and return home happily before Christmas?
