Birštonas Gymnasium civic initiative – artistic-creative composition "I Remember".
11:59 a.m. universal minute of silence to honor the memory of those who did not return.

A day when memory speaks through names.
A day when we remember those who were silenced.
The day when those whose fates remained in Siberia, in camps, in limbo, return.

More than 300,000 Lithuanians have experienced exile and imprisonment. Their fates are scattered across foreign lands, their voices silenced, their names lost. However, memory is not exiled, because every year on June 14th, it returns home.

As we commemorate the Day of Mourning and Hope, we invite you to join us in a civic action of remembrance, where we read the names, surnames, and fates of those who have returned, have not returned, or whose fates remain unknown.
