The sanatorium is established in 1975. This is a specialized institution of healing and rest that offers services of rehabilitation and sanatorium healing. The sanatorium provides healing services for those who are ill with diseases of endocrine, nerves, lesions of movable-brace apparatus, respiration, digestive system, kidneys, effect of ionizing irradiation. From the old times, mineral water of 20-22 g/l mineralization and natural healing mud are used for healing procedures in the sanatorium. For those who are ill with the diseases of digestive system, mineral water "Vytatutas" of 6.5-8 g/l mineralization is used. There is a salt chamber in the sanatorium "Versmė" that is the only one in the town of Birštonas. Sanatorium also offers an unique self-service mud and clay procedure.
