35 Sanatorium "Tulpės"

The sanatorium "Tulpės" was the first sanatorium to start its activities in Birštonas. It has long-standing traditions of healing with the use of mineral water and mud. The sanatorium "Tulpės" uses mineral water "Vytautas" and "Vaidilutė" for healing. The latter is distinguished by high content of bromine. Resort towns, having mineral waters with high content of bromine, are well respected around the world. Baths of the mineral water "Vaidilutė" stimulate physiological mechanisms of convalescense. They are especially effective in the healing of certain diseases of blood circulation, respiration, digestion, nerves and joints.

The living pavilions and healing site of the sanatorium "Tulpės" are located on a shore of the river Nemunas, in the very centre of Birštonas resort park. The sanatorium can receive up to 140 clients simultaneously.

In 2007, alongside old buildings of the healing sites, new healing sites of water were opened on a shore of Nemunas. Up to 130 people can enjoy various procedures simultaneously. There are baths, baths of mineral water, massage rooms. In new healing sites one can find a unique system of massage bath – the bath "Nuvola". 40 minutes of rest in this bath are equal to 6 hours of good sleep.
